Weekly Playlist: Tick Tock

In Weekly Playlist, we enlisted five selected songs with a common theme, look-alike video or by having the same usage of words or any particular phrases in each video respectively. And by 'selected', I means the songs that I really diggin' into and would definitely recommend you guys to listen to. Ehem...it's my playlist btw. What d'ya expect?

So, this week it's the time tickin' edition with the following clips...enjoy!

5| Madonna: 4 Minutes (ft Justin Timberlake, Timbaland)

4| Ke$ha: Tik Tok
I might not visually attracted to her but I really like the songs. Who didn't especially when she's staying on the Billboard Chart on #1 spot for weeks.

3| Epik High: One
Back in 2008, when I first started listen to Kpop, this is the kinda songs that I listened to. Good Music!

2| Gwen Stefani: What You Waiting For?

1| U-Kiss: Tick Tack (Japanese Version)
This is the song that I listen to when I'm hitting the gym or jog. The upbeat rhythm really gets my heart pumping faster than usual. Okay, that's a lil' bit exaggerated...pardon me. But yeah, some people may have not yet  to-drool-over this group, but I already am.

B1A4 | Baby I'm Sorry

Of all Kpop newbies, B1A4 sure did catch my attention when they first debuted with OK-GO. I know right, who didn't. Yet, I don't know why, most Kpop newcomers that were trying to break into the scene nowadays doesn't bring that much impact that I was expecting from them. Instead, most of them looking more like a wannabes and sounded the same.

I'm sorry I was speaking the honest truth. Still, how much different is B1A4 compared to those other group that I was trying to compare to. Give me a sec...actually, I see no difference but but but...they sure did have 'something' that makes me wanna see and listen more from them and their music.

Let's take one of their hit single "Only Learned Bad Things", as a guy, I can pretty much say that I'm diggin' the song without even have to look at the mv. In other words, their producer really did a good job without even have to stressing much on the looks. Yes, they do have this pretty boy image as one of their marketing strategy but on top of that, their music sounded pretty as well.

Come down to this, it's time that I'm making some review on their latest promotion and music video, 'Baby, I'm Sorry'.

[1| Teaser Image]
Finally, somebody do understand the definition of a teaser image. I see most Kpop like to came up with a teaser image to indicates their comeback. It's a way of telling the fans that "this is the kind of concept we wil be using for our upcoming music video". But I see no resemblance once the video is out. For instance, Super Junior's Bonamana Teaser Image which telling a concept of hype and funky with bright colors and stuff. EMO is how the video ended up to be. Oh, well...but for this teaser image, you can tell they using the same clothes in the video as well. Thumbs up.

[2| Music]
I like the beat, the music sounds awesome as well but I have a feeling like they were trying to mix 2 or 3 songs in one. For instance, Baro rapping in the beginning sounds dark-ish (Outsider kinda) I must say. It was then transited to Sandeul's auto-tuned then BAM it's actually a dancing-party songs. Afterwards, it's getting cute-er at min 1:30 and it was all mixed up towards the end. I wonder what the song is actually about? Depression, after-break-up song or they just wanna throw a party, that's all. Mmmhh..

[3| Music Video]
Since the music and some of the lyrics already confusing me (tho' relying to only the English words for my understanding is not a good idea), I find it even more confusing by watching the video.

Did someone else noticing CNU dramatic scene when he's trying to getting rid of his past memory at 2:34.  He was like taking his moment, almost in tears...and so we get it. But wait, what the heck did Jinyoung singing 'Dancing Party Time, Dancing Party Tonight' with a smile on his face. Is Jinyoung the devil that stir the relationship. Bummer*

So, what is the MV is actually about?
a) Baby, I'm sorry that we cannot be together
b) Baby, I'm sorry I steal your girlfriend -Jinyoung
c) Baby, I'm sorry for party rocking

[4| Dance]
I like their 'leg's floor-sweeping' dance. But I've to point out that their signature dance still rules in this video, the jumping. lol

And so, I end this post.

MBLAQ - Cry

Out of all Kpop song that has been released this year (at this current), this song definitely taken my attention and to looklet + blog about it. Somehow listen to it for the first time I felt like the song is quite Usher-ly to say. Nevertheless, I am so glad that at last 2011 seeing a new wave of Kpop, instead of clubbing-techno tune from one to another, they were something like this.

p.s : Btw, since the mv is lacking the presence of a female model/actress, the above looklet interpretation  of mine, I think best fit in the video. Hihi~

Girl's Day - Nothing Last Forever

(Girl's Day-Nothing Last Forever Inspired @ Looklet.com by 5th MK@me)

The Name : Girl's Day
Company's Name : DreamTea Entertainment
Members :

(The girl with shades, leader)

(I find it difficult to identify who's who, they kinda look the same, by which all the Koreans tho'. No harsh, I'm speaking nothing but the truth. Sorry sorry!!)

(The maknae(youngest), I've to admit she's cute)

(To all the haters, this picture proves they got no commercial value is epic fail)

So, that was it. To me personally, Girl's Day got this very potential to go further in the Kpop industry. I think they are very unique, by which not trying to imitate any existing Kpop's Group which looked, sounded the same...well, most of 'em are. But then, due to their uniqueness, I think they might have to struggle more to win the Kpop fans which to me they are very bias. Nothing much to say 'bout that tho'. :P

So yeah, I'm routing for GD (Not G-Dragon btw) and wish 'em all the very best in anything that they are doing. Really hope more people will start to give 'em chances by which supporting their music. Okay, this has nothing more less making me sounded like their manager.

p.s: I do not own any of this picture...esp the profile. Pardon me.

Super Junior: since when I like 'em?

Glad that I notice myself, "I'm not a big fan of Suju".

Begin with the most hectic song of the year, Sorry Sorry, I realize that Suju can make it BIG. Talk about Its You, my favourite song from Suju's 3rd album so far aside from Monster & Reset. (Most recommended song to be listen). Well back to the main topic, I am not a big fan of suju. No offense. They are good but not so before.

One of my Bestie recommended Suju to me before the releasing of the 3rd album, and to be honest I had never fall in love with anything that they do. The song, the dance..... it was all mess up & too cute for a guy. I know that a lot of girls out there are drooling on this group (esp when 13 guys do cute stuff together), to me it was all lame. "OK lah for fun".

Yesterday, coincidentally my remote switched onto 708 (8tv), late night show, I saw this PV with this bunch of hideous guys singing not so likeable song to be heard by my ear. (Contoversial statement). I switched back to 713/714 at a glance. Didn't want to ruined my sense of hearing. At that time I didn't know who were the artists. From my first impression, that must be some sort of Japanese. I guess.

Just now, I've opened Youtube. Guess what. After clicking from one video to the other, I've linked to the same song which I've watched last night. But now is different, I am now know who the artist. Gosh...... It was Suju. Sigh* The song itself, it is not that BAD, but it just not right. Glad that I've never like the old Suju. Now, way much better. I am still one of their fan though!

Looking at the PV, it is pretty amusing though.

Lollipop

I’ve seen and read a lot of articles, doubting the credibility of the female reflection of Big Bang, 2NE1. Yeah, I can say that their sense style of fashion and music were almost the same. Especially when 2NE1 try to deal with colors and a touch of hip hop sense in their style. Big Bang was like the trendsetter of their own labels and 2NE1 like the copycat of what they did. Nah, there should be no problems with that.

Fashion is not legally authorized personnel which you have to stick to your own. Copying and modifying sometimes can leads to a better one.

Listening to their latest single, Lollipop, was such an experience. Hehe……. They (both Big Bang and 2ne1) sound good along each other. The song is such an undeniable. Love the disco funky groovy kind of genre with the sense of modernity. Wewh, that is really deep.

My New Addiction

I got Big Bang-Flu recently. It is so hideous to find out that this disease is so critical like you cannot even stop and thinking. As if you know what I mean. Hold up a sec! Yup, a theory of Big Bang is not what I'm trying to say here (as my Amusement's Blog has nothing to do with Theory). Big Bang another music group from Korea has already clinging under my heart. Love the Music.

View Image

It was all begin when I've heard Cingkui's (My besto, Huda) Caller Ringtone. The moment she answered me, I directly asked her, "Where did you get that Caller Ringtone. What Group? Don't tell me it's Super Junior".
"No, its Big Bang"

I was kind of think twice on that moment. I've heard Big Bang's Song before, Gee (The song name). Frankly speaking, it was disastrous just like the other oldies hip hop song. Since then, I had my mindset for Big Bang, "a bunch of Hip Hop Group that was way to far from the Real World definition of music". But as soon as I listen to "LIES" on Cingkui's Caller Ringtone that moment, I was felt. That is the strong point of a song which is hard to find. By just to listen to a part of the song and let it captivates you to listen it until the song ends. One in a Million.

Since then, I keep browsing for Big Bang in the internet. Shockingly-excited to know that they won a lot of Prestigious Award especially for the Best Song of the Year in MNET Music Festival 2007 through Lies. (I know that I was way Far Left Behind, but it is Okay to start somewhere).

Shinee_ noonan neomoo yeppeo_replay

Hey there was this one group named Shinee, a Korean boy band or group or what so ever it was being classified as and I am totally into their music recently. Thanks to Rtain because she was the one who introduce me to their song at first (the best part is that through the mobile phone and we were actually chit chatting while hearing to their song). Awesomeness.

Here are some of the "SHINEE"S which I grab from the youtube:

Really am drooling over their song and especially their dancing step. Kawaii...

p/s: ACtually the SMJ Dance school nailed it perfectly. Wishing that I could be apart of them or even dancing like what they did. Oppa, Fighting!
